SMASH HIT Songwriting School is an innovative and inclusive music education programme designed specifically for primary schools. Rooted in creative expression and practical musicianship, the programme moves beyond traditional instrumental tuition. Pupils not only develop technical proficiency on their chosen instrument of guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, or vocals but they also gain a strong foundation in composition, collaboration, and performance.
Through a structured and engaging process, children learn how to write, arrange, record, and perform their own original songs. This holistic approach fosters musical understanding, creativity, teamwork, and confidence, enabling every participant to experience the full lifecycle of creating and presenting their own work.

FREE TO SCHOOLS
In addition to our services being free to your school, we handle everything: the lessons, the equipment, the admin, communications and logistics. All your school would need to provide is a room big enough for five little songwriters!

SMASH HIT is accessible to all pupils and contributes to the school curriculum, especially in English!

FREE BURSARY SPACE
Two free bursary spaces are offered to every new school, as well as alternate options in pupil premium and match funding.

In a group setting, children will learn how to play an instrument in a way that is fun, accessible and engaging for young minds.

To celebrate all of their hard work across the school year, SMASH HIT will organise an end of year live performance at your school, which co-insides with the children's latest song release.
