ABOUT
The Community Song is a unique project where all primary school children enrolled with SMASH HIT Songwriting School come together to write an original song. Every child contributes to the lyrics, melody, or music, and the project is aiming to set a world record for the most songwriters on a single song. This experience celebrates creativity, teamwork, and young voices.
WHAT'S THE BRIEF?
We're looking for song lyrics, melodies and ideas that are about Spring time and Easter! Here are some examples to get your children started: Bunnies, chocolate eggs, colourful baskets, bright flowers, sunny days, singing birds, buzzing bees, soft green grass, fluttering butterflies, gentle rain, rainbow skies, giggles and laughter, hiding surprises, baby chicks, warm sunshine, picnic fun, jumping puddles, leafy trees, sweet smells, friends, springtime games, new beginnings, fun family time, playful breeze, magic of spring.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Getting your child involved is easy! Simply fill in the participation form below by uploading your child's ideas and they will then become a part of this exciting and collaborative opportunity. All students are encouraged to contribute.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Children taking part will join a world record attempt, have their songwriting contributions officially credited, and see the final song released on all major streaming platforms at the end of the Easter term. In addition to this, a music video featuring the young songwriters will be produced, giving every participant the chance to be a part of a truly historic and memorable musical experience.
